Sep 5, 2016 8:46 PM in response to alexandrapg22by MichelPM,You need a BluRay drive that uses Thunderbolt, USB3 or, if you own in older 2011 iMac or older, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800 or USB 2.0 connection protocols.
Look here for good quality, Mac compatible Blu-Ray reader/writers.

Stay away from the bus powered models as it is better to use optical drives that uses their own independent wall plug power supply.
If you want maximum flexibility with a BluRay drive you need third party BluRay player software and BluRay burning/authoring software.
The only real BluRay burning/authoring software is Roxio Toast Titanium Pro.
For BluRay player software, look at Macgo BluRay Player.
Good Luck!
