Q: apple tv 4 not asking bluetooth pairing code
I have a bluetooth device that I currently use with my iPhone 6. When I pair it with my iPhone the phone ask me for the pairing code, then I enter 0000 and the device pair successfully.
I am now trying to pair it with my apple tv 4 but is not prompting me to enter the code, it shows four random numbers in the tv screen and then shows an error: Make sure "EVSH-02" is turned on and in range.
I thought... well the device is not compatible, then I tried to pair it again to my iPhone but this time when the phone ask my for the pairing code I entered 4 random numbers. Now, the iPhone is also giving me the same error as the apple tv: Make sure "EVSH-02" is turned on and in range.
I when ahead and tried again and again with the apple tv 4 and every time the apple tv gives 4 different random number followed by the same error message.
I am sure that if I am able to enter the four 0000 in the apple tv I could pair the device. Is there a way to make my apple tv4 to ask me for the pairing code? so I can enter manually the four zeros?
Thanks.
Sebastian.
