Q: MacBook Air incompatible with Excel 2016

Good day, my dad just bought a new MacBook Air and is having problem with Excel 2016. There's a message pop up when he opened an Excel spreadsheet, I have attached a screenshot of it. Also, when he prints it out, grid lines appear. excel.png

Thanks in advance.

You did not open that spreadsheet with Microsoft Excel. You opened it with Numbers. If you want to open it with Excel, launch Excel first, then open the spreadsheet.

Excel is not an Apple product, and it is not included with your Mac. Numbers is. For assistance with Microsoft products, you'll have to consult Microsoft.
