Q: spindump slows down your mac (7 year problem)

After 7 years from 2009 til 2016 - the problem still exists also on macOX El Capitan !

This does the trick:

sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.spindump.plist

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan (10.11.1), null

Interesting, have you tried making a bugreporter report about it? Sign for a free developer account at http://developer.apple.com and the submit your report on http://bugreporter.apple.com

Clearly not enough people complained on Apple Support Communities to make a difference. However getting in the bug report system will at least get it on the radar.
