Q: text messages do not sync
The text messages, both SMS and iMessage, do not sync across my devices (iMac, iPhone, iPad). All of them are up-to-date on software and on the same Wi-Fi network yet each device has difference messages shown. If I delete a message from one device it will stay on the others and the original message usually only shows on the device that I created it.

Follow these steps:
- Check that you are signed in to iMessage using the same Apple ID on all devices:
- On each of your iPhone and iPad:
- Settings > Messages > Send & Receive - if required, tap on your Apple ID (in blue at the top) to sign out > then sign back in with the correct credentials.
- On your iMac:
- On each of your iPhone and iPad:
- Check that you have selected your iPhone number and also the same email addresses via which you wish be reachable and/or to send from in iMessage on each device:
- On each of your iPhone and iPad, go to: Settings > Messages > Send & Receive.
- On your iMac, in the Messages app, go to: Messages (top menu) > Preferences > Accounts.
