Sep 6, 2016 8:37 AM in response to mzfishe314by JimmyCMPIT,the developer should have directions on their webpage. dragging to the trash will not uninstall this because it has processes that run when your computer is active, not just when you launch the application manually.

Sep 6, 2016 8:47 AM in response to JimmyCMPITby mzfishe314,Thank you. I do not actually have Advanced Mac Cleaner installed on my computer. I keep receiving the pop up after I updated Adobe. The malware snuck in via the updating of Adobe now I cannot get rid of the Advanced Mac Cleaner pop up.

Sep 6, 2016 9:44 AM in response to mzfishe314by Eric Root,If the pop-up reloads, force quit Safari (command - option/alt - esc) and reopen with the shift key held down. If that doesn't work, disconnect from the Internet, go to Safari/History and delete the website. Quit and reopen with the shift key held down.

Sep 6, 2016 8:29 PM in response to mzfishe314by John Galt,The key to getting rid of "Advanced Mac Cleaner" is to quit the app first. If necessary, use Activity Monitor to find it so you can do that: Activity Monitor: Quit a process.
Then, moving it from your Mac's Applications folder to the Trash should work. If that doesn't help write back for additional suggestions. When you do, please indicate the OS X version you have installed. To determine that please read Find the OS X version and build number on your Mac - Apple Support.
