Q: Date and time variables in email signature?
I know that email header's have the date and time when the email is sent but I would like to have the date and time that the send button pressed to be recorded in the email. The problems is that the send timestamp is set by the email server and I have encountered situations where the email was delayed in the email server's processing queue and I would like to memorialize in the email when I, the sender, hit send on my iPhone.
I was hoping that there are variables like $date and $time that can be inserted in to a signature and that these variables would be resolved by the Mail app at the time that the send button is pressed.
I would like to have something like this in my signature
Sent from my iPhone at $localtime on $localdate.
and have it resolve to
Send from my iPhone at 10:23 am PDT on September 6, 2015
iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.5, Mail signature
