Q: Why is the monitor box greyed out in voice over tool?

I would like my voice over person to hear his voice and the nat sound on the timeline but I am unable to turn the monitor on. I have done this a thousand times in the past. What is different is the fact that I am using a bluetooth head phone. In the past I have plugged the headphones into the USB mic. What is going on?

Thanks,

Tom

Depends on the i/o device you're using, or the USB mic.  Go to the  System Preferences and set up inputs and outputs there.  Then you should be able to do headphone monitoring.  NEVER plug headphones into an i/o device or USB mic interface directly.  Always go through the Mac's output, to head what is being recorded, not what the mic is picking up raw.
