Q: Keyboard Language

Hello everyone.

I currently bought a Macbook Air 13".

It uses OS X EL Capitan.

I wanted to know if there is any way that I can just use a key on the keyboard to change the language I'm typing.

Since I'm not so sure about it, if there is any changes I have to make on the System Preferences, please do tell me all the steps.

Thanks

    Not quite one key tap, but one click...

    1. System Preferences > Keyboard > Input Sources > add whatever international keyboard you need;

    2. On same screen, add a check mark next to "Show input menu in menu bar."

    3. Now you have a flag displayed in the main menu, or the right.

    4. Click on that icon, slide to the keyboard you want, then release.

    You might also want to add same language(s) to Language & Region prefs.

    Once you have activated all the keyboards you want, the shortcut for changing the keyboard is Control plus Space (and Control plus Option plus Space).

    You can modify that in System Preferences/Keyboard/Shortcuts/Input Sources
