Q: Serious virus attack. Hard drive missing. Can I recover?

I was noticing some typical signs of malware so ran a virus scanning software, it detected a couple threats and then the computer started slowing down and ultimately freezing when the scan was completed. I restarted the computer and it crashed again on start up, then started up again but this time I noticed it running some kind of kernel command. Now my hard drive is undiscoverable. I can still boot into bootcamp (which is on a separate hard drive) but I cannot see my Mac OS Hard drive. I can't seem to find any other info on this. Is it possible to recover my Mac data? I'd really appreciate any help.
