Q: Unable to turn off

Hey guys i've been having this problem with two of my apple devices an iphone 4s and an ipad 3. Whenever i would turn the device off it would automaticly turn back on. The power key is not sticky or making any type of false contact. I did a restore on the ipad and it is still doing it.

Also when my iphone would discarge, the connect to power icon keeps apearing and does not turn off unless it completly dies or i connect to power. This does not happen on the ipad however

Any ideas why this is happening or how i can fix it.

Iphone 4s 9.3.5 and Ipad 3 9.3.4

iPhone 4S, iOS 9.3.5

If an iOS device is off, it will turn on when you connect it to power. Does that explain what is happening? If not, try cleaning the lightning connector on the bottom of the device. Use a bright light, magnifier if you need it, and a non-metallic probe such as a toothpick.
