Sep 6, 2016 10:23 AM in response to Angelgal75by Meg St._Clair,★HelpfulIt appears you have an AT&T version of the iPhone. It appears that AT&T uses different LTE frequencies than Optus. I don't know if that could be related to your issue or not.
Just because the device came in a box that was sealed doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Sep 6, 2016 10:27 AM in response to Meg St._Clairby Angelgal75,Thanks so much I thought AT&T was an American company so I'm not sure how that's going to work. It's almost 3am here I'm not going to lose anymore sleep over this issue. I will call Apple tomorrow. Thanks again

Sep 6, 2016 11:16 AM in response to Angelgal75by Lawrence Finch,Activating Facetime and iMessage requires sending an international SMS to a number in the UK (+44), so you need to have international SMS enabled on your account.

Sep 6, 2016 11:36 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby TOBALL,iMessage may takes 24 hours to be activated... so maby wait a bit and contact your carrier if you have really an AT&T version of iPhone ?

Sep 6, 2016 6:46 PM in response to Meg St._Clairby Angelgal75,I just spoke to Apple they want to do a complete restore on my phone but I am reluctant to do this as Idon't want to stuff up the phone...
-
Sep 7, 2016 6:25 AM in response to Angelgal75by Meg St._Clair,I'm not really sure what "stuff up the phone" means. What, exactly are you afraid will happen? A complete restore will generally solve problems, not create them.
