Q: Local home directory for network user

I try set LDAP authentication on OS X. Home directory must placed on local disk. I change /etc/auto_master:

#+auto_master # Use directory service

but when i login i have error:

su: no directory

How to setup auto create home folder in /Users/username?

Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)

    sudo rm -rf /home

    The normal approach for this is to do the following -

     

    • Bind the client Mac to Open Directory
    • Either create a Profile using Apple Configurator or enrol the Mac in to Profile Manager and using either configure the Mac to use 'Mobile Accounts' this lets the Mac use Open Directory to authenticate logins but causes the Mac to create a local home directory upon first login
