Q: I can access my phone without a passcode from Siri

when I lock my phone and ask Siri to 'take a photo', the phone goes to camera.  When I then press the Home button, I'm straight in my phone, no passcode required. It happens if you ask Siri to go to 'wallet' too.

I've done the recent update.

I can't seem to find any setting to change this.

Any suggestions on how to get a passcode between Siri and camera access?

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.5

    Disable Touch ID.

I basically going to do some guessing here because I have an iPhone 5 without the "Touch ID".

Have you tried asking Siri a question (while locked) that requires you to go to the internet for the answer? Something like "What's the population of Alabama?" Try that, and if you do get to your internet app (be it Safari or something else), then the Touch ID does seem to be the problem.

In that case, it's a BIG problem if every time you (and everyone with Touch ID) are unlocking your phones by using Siri (and don't realize it) and needs reporting.

If you don't get to the internet, it is something else. I do know I have camera access from my locked screen, but I still can't gain access after I take the picture until I enter my passcode.

Another alternative to above is to go into your settings to tell your phone to NOT allow Siri access when the phone is locked. I'm pretty sure how you do that is different that how I do it, so you'll have to find that procedure on your own.

The home button unlocks the device with your fingerprint, exactly as it is designed to do once you have setup fingerprint recognition.

Try it with a different finger (that is not used in TouchID).

Also, you have to hold the Home button for Siri with your finger, thus unlocking with TouchID.
