Sep 6, 2016 9:44 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by ckuan,I can't imagine myself running with my iPad.

Sep 6, 2016 9:45 PM in response to ckuanby ChrisJ4203,That's why I use the Apple Watch. Much lighter to carry.

Sep 6, 2016 10:02 PM in response to ckuanby -Aymara-,I use a fitness tracker, that doesn't require a mobile device (on the road or in the gym) and gets synced after the training ;-)

Sep 6, 2016 10:08 PM in response to ChrisJ4203by -Aymara-,I prefer a device with an appropriate battery, that lasts one week instead of just a few hours, so that I can track 24/7 including sleep quality. As long as Apple doesn't improve the Watch enough, I prefer e.g. Garmin.
And even when using an Apple Watch, Health is still missing on the iPad ;-)

Sep 6, 2016 10:06 PM in response to -Aymara-by ckuan,Well good on you.
Watch is more than a fitness tracker if you care.

Sep 6, 2016 10:14 PM in response to ckuanby -Aymara-,My Garmin is a fitness tracker with smart phone features ... currently the Apple Watch has no advantage for me. I hope that will change some time ;-) Currently the Watch is the wrong choice for me, because I'm highly interested in sleep tracking ... so loading every day is a no-go.
We'll see how Watch 2 improves, but I doubt, it will be good enough ... maybe Watch 3 ;-)

Sep 7, 2016 6:22 AM in response to -Aymara-by ChrisJ4203,Again, the way to get Apple to know about your desire for health on the iPad is with the feedback page. Use what you find meets your needs. We all have our desires when it comes to devices, and if you felt I was making fun of your choice, I'm sorry. It was just a little fun about using an iPad. If the Garmin works better for you than the Apple Watch, so be it. The watch works well for my needs, so that is what I use. That is what is great about choice. Have a nice day.

Sep 7, 2016 7:13 AM in response to ChrisJ4203by -Aymara-,What is so funny about the idea to use an iPad too for Health? I'm not planning to carry it around, but to review and maybe even sync a device's data in the evening.
Especially reviewing Health data on a tiny iPhone screen is totally annoying, when you reached the reading glass age ... that is something young folks will sooner or later experience themselves and change their opinion on some things ... LOL
PS: It might be worth mentioning, that some people use several devices, e.g. Apple Watch for the office or on a business trip and a Garmin, Fitbit or whatever for sports. And these people often use Health to summarize the data of different devices. And some of these guys are over 50 ;-)

Sep 7, 2016 8:25 AM in response to -Aymara-by ChrisJ4203,Well, so much for trying to apologize and understand your needs. Threw me right under the bus. You seemed upset that two of us made a comment, to each other I might add, not to you, about exercising with the iPad. I also provided you with the path to let Apple know your concerns and desires. I told you to choose your device based on your needs. While I don't track a great deal of data on my iPhone, I do track some of it. I can understand wanting more screen real estate for making those comparisons, and each has their own needs. I hope you get what you want, as I would not mind seeing the Health app on the iPad to do exactly what you want, but for now, I have to read it on the phone, and I'm in my mid 60s, thank you very much.
