Sep 7, 2016 7:32 AM in response to HARESTYLISTby Rysz,★HelpfulIf the photos are taken on an iPad, they are much larger than that. You will most likely need to reduce the size.
It's very easily done in the Preview app on a Mac. On an iPad, you'll need to download an app for this. Search the App Store. "Image Size" is one example.

Sep 7, 2016 7:29 AM in response to Ryszby HARESTYLIST,I don't understand this stuff. (DUH) So, youre telling me I already would have more than 500 pixels since my pictures. If that is the case why would need to reduce the size? Does reducing the size make them more dense, more pixels?
Or are you telling me the opposite, that I would have less pixels if my pics are larger?
It sounds like a lot of work to change them as I have thousands of pictures. Would it make sense to take future pics on a smaller device such as my ipad mini, iPhone SE or iPhone 5S?
Thanks for the help!

Sep 7, 2016 8:03 AM in response to HARESTYLISTby LACAllen,Any and all iPads have greater than 500px on the long side for their camera resolution. Always have.
While you may find this a lot of work, it is pretty standard when preparing images for web usage.
I doubt you will easily find a device to "take" pictures at that resolution. You will need to find a workflow that can "reduce your images for web usage" or "process images for eBay".
I suggest you Google those phrases and investigate the links you get. I am pretty sure Ebay has that ability built in to their software.

Sep 7, 2016 8:02 AM in response to HARESTYLISTby babowa,I have an iPad Pro and the default size for photos taken with its camera are:
As you can see, it's roughly 4000 x 3000 pixels. 500 pixels is a small picture measurement. I can't imagine yours being smaller than that unless you emailed them to yourself or something similar. Usually, anything that is "shared" automatically will be resized accordingly. If you need to resize manually, then you will need an app (for either the iPad or a computer). FWIW, making pics larger will inevitably result in a fuzzy/unclear picture as you are increasing pixel size. Making them smaller always works.

Sep 7, 2016 8:16 AM in response to HARESTYLISTby Rysz,I understood you to say 500 pixels was the maximum or exact size, so you would have to reduce pictures taken on an iPad.
If 500 pixels is the minimum, then you would not have to do anything to the pictures.

Sep 7, 2016 9:54 AM in response to Ryszby HARESTYLIST,Actually I didn't say. I just said; " 500 pixels on the longest side". Sorry I didn't clarify.
Someone else recommended an app and I see that all my pictures are WAY over 500 pixels on all sides.
I called ebay and it appears that inkfrog (my lister) was giving me false error messages.
Inkfrog switched from their classic version to the "new improved" open version which needs a lot of improvement.
My pictures are fine as they are, thank heavens!
Thank you for your interest!
