Sep 7, 2016 12:25 AM in response to Orin Nisensonby léonie,Sandvox can extract the content of your current iWeb websites and create new sites from it. It is the closest to iWeb that I have found.

Sep 7, 2016 8:46 AM in response to léonieby Ethmoid,No it can't - this is totally incorrect information and if you had actually bothered to read what you have created a link to here, then you would have found that out - it says towards the bottom that Sandbox cannot import, so you will have to recreate your site in Sandvox by copying a pasting content from iWeb to Sandvox.
Also, the closest to iWeb is EverWeb, that was created as a direct replacement for iWeb.

Sep 7, 2016 8:49 AM in response to Orin Nisensonby Ethmoid,The only packages that you will find that can import iWeb files are DreamWeaver or Flux 6 and both of these have a very hight learning curve and are quite expensive.
You are better of getting an app that you can use, but you might have to re-create your site from scratch by copying and pasting.
Sandvox is one alternative, but can't import, but the best and most like iWeb is EverWeb that was created as a direct replacement for iWeb.

Sep 7, 2016 9:00 AM in response to Ethmoidby léonie,I tried Sandvox and as the document says, and what I wrote - "it can extract the content of your current iWeb websites". I did not say that it can read the iWeb Domain.sites2 file, as you imply. It reads the HTML of the web sites.
From the link I posted:
How do I extract my old iWeb site if it is no longer published on the web?
You will need to publish your iWeb site to a local folder. Select the top item in your list of pages, and Choose "Local Folder" for where to publish. Chose a folder such as your desktop. After this is complete, use the Choose… button in the extractor to choose either the index.html file, or the main page (usually Welcome.html) of your exported iWeb site.
When I tried it, Sandvox created a near perfect copy of my iWeb sites from the HTML pages, and I was quite impressed. That is why I recommended it. It is very easy to use and I can publish to my FTP server, no subscription required.
