Q: Updating Instagram app and it's been stuck saying "Waiting..."

Try tapping the app icon to pause the update, then go to the app store app, go to updates and tap update to resume the update.

I had the same problem. To fix it I had to restore my ipod to factory settings (which is always a pain), then I redownloaded instagram. It started doing it's little "Waiting..." game again, but this time I was able to delete it. I then went to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and singed out of my Apple ID. Then, I restarted my ipod after closing all the programs. After turning my ipod back on, I was able to successfully download the app.

I have the same problem on my sons phone. I really don't want to have to reset the iphone!!  So much hassel. Is there another way to fix the problem?

i have the same problem. delete, soft reset, sign out is not working for me. my last option is to factory reset.

any solution instead i reset my phone?

Go to the Setting ---> Storage --->  Manage Storage and delete the app there. Then download the app again.

Thanks: it's SettIngs / General / Storage & Icloud Usage / Manage Storage. BUT it appears to be either an issue with App Store or Instagram as it still won't reinstall. Hopefully within 24hrs this will Be resolved  It's not an individual issue I don't believe.
