Q: why are my wife's photos showing up on my phone?
when I restored my phone from the iCloud, I have all my wife's pics on my phone. How can I prevent that?

Each of you needs to have a separate Apple ID account. It is also advisable to have separate User Accounts on your computer (or separate computers).
If you want to share purchases and files, one of you can set up Family Sharing.
