Q: iPad app store continually locking me out of my account

I am trying to update the apps on my iPad tonight. When prompted for my password, I input it and receive a dialog box saying my account has been locked and I have to reset the pwd. I reset it, and the whole problem begins again. I have gone through this four times tonight, and can't figure out how to get these apps updated. Any ideas? Ironically I am logged into this discussion board with the most recent new password I just set up that my iPad won't accept.

Even though you can login here in the communities, reset your Apple iD password.

You missed the whole point of the question. I have reset the password 4 times in the space of about 10 minutes and continue to receive the message that my password is incorrect and must reset it again.

On "that link"? I have never seen the link you are listing here. This doesn't come up on my iPad in the dialog box. Should I have seen this somewhere when resetting my password?

But HOLY CRAP. Are you saying that on 15 devices I have to do these 56 things EVERY TIME I change my password?!

    Work

2 Mac Laptops (app store, Facetime, game center, iCloud, iBooks, Messages)

1 Mac Desktop (app store, Facetime, game center, iCloud, iBooks, Messages)

1 iPad (both iTunes and app store, Facetime, game center, iCloud, iBooks, Messages)

1 iPhone (both iTunes and app store, Facetime, game center, Find My Phone, iCloud, iBooks, Messages)

    Apple TV (iCloud)

The link that Carolyn Samit gave in her reply, which I assume that you didn't open and read.

The link tells you what you need to do and why

Yes. That is how passwords work.

Would you really want these devices to stay logged in after you have changed the password to ensure your data and content is safe and secure?

Of course not. But I don't think I am staying logged in.

Apple says they will log you out of places that are used to communicate and have sensitive information. Other places may not log you out in real time.
