Q: MacBook Air

I want to possibly buy a Macbook Air, I'm under the impression the you buy the New MacBook Air it is not upgradable.

I.e you cannot add RAM or upgrade the hard drive?

So does that mean if the computer comes with 8GB of RAM i cannot upgrade it to 16GB of RAM if I don't order the 16 GB.

Also that means for the Hard drive that if the MacBook Air comes with 256BG HD, i can upgrade it to a 500GB HD after I purchase it?

2. Apple doesn’t intend for customers to do so, but they can. Note that it uses a SSD instead of a hard drive.

I don't know what a SSD is or does, can you explain the difference SSD and a Hard Drive?

I reviewed and kind of understand what is going on but I'm not technical enough to really understand certain things.

Can the SSD go bad, is it replaceable? I'm asking because I had replaced a HD before in my old 2009 MacBook Pro.
