My Apple password is rejected after previous uses. What happens to cause this and how do I correct the problem

Either you're repeatedly making some mistake or, potentially, your password has been hacked and altered. See https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid and reset your password, then examine your recent purchase history.
