Q: ipad question

My Apple ID and password work on the computer but not on the IPad.  What do I do?

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.5

    Restart your iPad then tap Settings > iTunes & App Store > Apple ID > View Apple ID.

     

    1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
    2. Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

    Having tried  another solution which told me to sign out of apple ID my screen now shows Sign In.  Still can't sign in.  Tried to Shut down and restart but no luck.  Thanks anyway.
