Q: How can I transfer messages, contacts from Android to iPhone 7 plus?

I just bought the latest iPhone 7 plus, I like it very much! But what troubled me most was that how can I transfer hundreds of contacts and text messages from my Android  to iPhone 7 plus? My old phone is Samsung Galaxy s6.

Any method other than manually transferring contacts, messages  would be great. I have too many contacts to manually do this lol.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple has a migration app on Google Play to help with the process.

BTW, iPhone 7 is not out yet, so you could not have bought it. You probably meant iPhone 6 or 6s?

    Hi!

I think this will answer all your questions.

Move from Android to iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

    Hope this helps.

@Rysz has already answered your question.

On your android phone: download the app 'Move to iOS' from google play

On your iPhone: reset the phone to factory settings.

Launch the app on android phone and follow the instructions.

When setting up the iPhone choose the 'move data from android' option.

To Move Your Photos, Contacts, and Other Data from Android to iPhone

1: Set up your iPhone until you reach the screen “Apps & Data”.

2: Tap on “Move Data from Android” option.

3: Open Google Play Store on your Android device, and search for Move to iOS app.

4: Download and install Move to iOS App

    5: Tap on Accept button.

6: Once the app is installed, tap on Open.

7: Now tap Continue on iPhone and Android device.

8: Tap on Agree button and then Next on the Android device.

9: Type in the 12-digit code on your Android device; this code is displayed on iPhone.

Once you enter the code, your Android device will connect with your iPhone with Wi-Fi connection and now you have to decide what data you want to be shifted.

You will be asked if you wish to move your Google Account info; this will help you quickly log in on your new iPhone.

You will also be asked to move Chrome bookmarks, text messages, contacts, and the photos and videos in your camera roll. You can select whatever you want to transfer.

Now all your data will be transferred from Android device to iPhone and will be placed properly into the corresponding apps.

well, this will be  a hot question when iPhone 7 is available. As a technical, I have helped a lot of users and friends on this issue. However, there is not a single answer that would work on all devices.

Option 1: Move to iOS App. This is our first choice since its introduction. However, it has problems with old Android devices, like Galaxy S4, HTC One M6.

Option 2: Gmail. If you synced contacts with it, then you can easily sync it on iPhone too. This only works for contacts.

Option 3: Third-party App. The benefit of using such apps is that they support old devices like Android 2.3.  The process is quite simple. Connect both phones to a computer and select the file type you want to transfer. Only a few mouse clicks involved in. A demo tutorial is here: Transfer Data from Android to iPhone

From my experience, the above options should work for all the devices sold on market.
