Q: my iphone 6 suddenly shut down and will not reboot

I  have a new iphone 6 and was doing something when it suddenly shut down. It will not reboot despite me pressing the appropriate buttons

    Saying that you are pressing the appropriate buttons is not very clear. You need to hold down both the Home and Power buttons at the same time until the Apple appears, which can take up to 30 seconds. Did you hold them down for that long?
