Q: unable to close event schedule

my Event schedule flipped down & it won't go away. I am unable to power off because the power slide is hidden behind the event schedule screen.

Mac mini (Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.7.5), nothing to do with iTunes store

    Do you mean the Notification Center ?  If so try starting the upward swipe from below the screen.

    If that doesn't work try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons until the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own.
