Q: iOS 9 Icloud Why I  cannot see backup files on ICloud Drive

My problem is backup on iCloud with iPhone and iPad, and retrieval.

I have iOS 9.1

This is on iPad 4th generation , WiFi and on iPhone5, 12 GB  storage.

Have upgraded my iCloud storage to 50 GB.

Regularly do backup on iCloud. Recently installed the iCloud Drive icon.

I have " Cloud opener".

Cannot view my backed up photos, or any files.

On Windows 7, on laptop, I am able to access iCloud.com on the Web, with all files and photos.

on Safari, I am unable to do this.

PLease advise.

    You are obviously extremely knowledgeable.

I had not till now realized the many facets of "iCloud".

    I would like to ask you this simple question please;

If, on my Iphone, I do a complete reset. ie Factory settings, and then reinstall from

my daily icloud repository as in "settings", will I be sure then to get a complete full content from say the back-up 2 months ago?  can I be sure?

    Thanks again.

The backup will reapply the information that was on that backup including Settings, Photos & Videos in the Camera Roll, App Data, Home Screen Layout, and Messages among other things (see the link below).

For Apps and other media, the backup keeps your Purchase History, so it will re-download any apps that were on your device at the time of the backup. If they were purchased using a different Apple ID, they will ask for the password to that ID. So, iTunes purchased media will not restore from the backup, but will download back to the device. App Data, however is backed up, so that will be restored.

iCloud-sync'd data like Contacts, Calendars, Notes, Photo Stream and Shared Photos, Mail - anything you have checked when you go to Settings>iCloud - is re-sync'd as a result of signing back into the iCloud account.

What you need to remember is that anything that has been put on the phone since that backup will be wiped out by the backup, so before you restore to an earlier one, make sure you have made a current one. You can tell when the last backup was made by going to Settings>iCloud>Backup.

I have erased and restored my iPhone 4 with an iCloud backup multiple times while testing for this forum, and when I got my new iPhone 5 initially, I set it up using my iPhone 4 iCloud backup. They have always resulted in my phone looking exactly like it did before I erased it.
