Q: How do I setup keychain on a new Macbook when the old one died?

Hi,

My old Macbook died surprisingly two weeks ago and I have not been able to get it to wake up since.

My new Macbook arrived yesterday and I want to setup Keychain. I restored my old computer from Time Machine and it includes some version of Keychain but I am not sure it is the full one. My new computer asks for permission from my old computer, but obviously this would not work. I tried the alternative way of answering security questions, but then I hit a wall when Apple sends a text message to my old phone number, which is no longer active, rather than my new phone, despite the fact that the new phone is the only phone listed under my AppleID!
