Q: 9.3.5 upgrade - wifi now intermittent
I upgraded as advised the other week to latest iOS update.
Since this has happened my wifi has become intermittent.
I lose connection on multiple access points, so I believe the phone is at fault.
I tried -
- reset network settings
- disabling wifi assist
- rebooting my phone
I then got a call back from Apple Support.
Spoke to Laura and I explained to her what had been done and that from research online I saw others complaining of similar issues.
She passed my to a colleague and this is probably the worst experience I've had with apple.
I've never spoke to someone rude at Apple before till this.
He went straight in with "as per Apple T&C's" I should backup my phone and then restore it.
Well I did this when I found some time to do so.
It has not solved my issue and now I have a nearly exceeded data text from my provider #arghh
I think there must be a bug affecting some users, wondered if anyone had any suggestions?

Hi
Apple advises following the steps here:
- If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support
- Connect to Wi-Fi on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points are detailed here:
If the issue persists, I suggest that you resume your case / discussion with Apple Support or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having your iPhone checked and, if recommended by Apple, serviced (whether under warranty or via chargeable repair service):
- Contact - Official Apple Support
