Q: Apple Watch exchange for new model - only 1 month old

Hello,

I'm aware this probably won't stand for anything buy my wife and I are big fans of Apple products, we both have a new iPhone (which we've had every 2 years since the original model came out) & iPad each and also have a MacBook Pro and an iMac in our house. I also have a waterproof iPod Shuffle that I use for swimming.

For my 30th Birthday last month I was very happy when my wife presented me with a 42mm Apple Sports Watch, just what I had been hoping for. I have been very happy with my new watch and it's hardly been off my wrist.

That was until I saw the announcement of the new Apple Watch 2. This has left both my wife and I severely disappointed that we did not know that little over 1 months time there would be a better model out which would have some of the features I would have wanted in the first model, mainly being waterproof so that I could take it swimming with me. Plus the fact the current model has been reduced makes us feel slightly cheated.

What I would like to know now is do I have the opportunity to swap my current watch for the equivalent new model? if this involves paying any difference between the models I am happy to do that.

im not sure if this is immediately obvious from my profile but  live in the UK so hope this is in the correct place.
