Punctuation helps other people understand you.

You can only install OS X on Macs made by Apple. Anything else is a breach of the licence and not supported here.

    Translation into English:

Hello guys. I'm having a huge problem with my MacBook Pro, so I recently decided to build my own MacBook (cuz it's cheaper); and, well I probably didn't do such a great job, even tho I'm confident I did find with the build OK.

So let's get down to the specs. I bought a 2010 unibody with keyboard, no trackpad (I bought one and installed it); and then I bought a 2011 logic board (A1286 I'm not sure it's that one, but I read it was); and then a 1tb hard drive and 16gb ram.

I also brought the 2010 battery which I connected on to the logic board (don't ask how, it barely fits, but good not loose or anything) but the problem I'm running into is it shuts off when it's halfway through the loading bar - and it does with the battery connected and disconnected.

I have it plugged into the MagSafe, and the keyboard doesn't work, only command and I think shift. I have a usb keyboard connected to it, and so I ran V-command for verbose, and I would keep pressing enter fast - and it would go black screen, then white screen, then take me to the password.

I was able to go in after 2 or 3 min; it would shut off, and so I kept doing that and I finally decided to type fsck. It would say volume OK, and I put reboot, and after it would still do the same thing. Then I discovered I can go into recovery mode disk utility, and my partition is there new.

I tried reinstalling installing OSX Yosemite, and it would say some type of error, but - get this - on disk utility, while connected, it stays on and doesn't shut off.

So I tried repair disk and verify disk, and nothing; so I tried erase, left for about a day and a half, and then had a bootable USB with El Capitan, and goes about little bit halfway and ***** off starts over.

So can someone help please ?

It would be if he had built a PC from components, but this appears to be a mishmash of Apple parts - so it's an interesting question as to whether it's a legitimate Apple computer to install OSX on. If a particular Mac had been refurbished several times to the extent that many of the parts were different from the original, would that be legitimate? Probably so. What the OP has done is a grey area in this regard (though I have to say that I fail to be surprised that it doesn't work).

I don't think you're going to have success in building a Frankintosh.

This sometimes worked on desktop models under the PowerPC architecture, but now things change so drastically from one year to the next that it's unlikely to be able to successfully scavenge parts from here and there and have it work.

If all the parts were from the exact same model, you might have a greater chance at success.

You said "I tried reinstalling installing OSX Yosemite, and it would say some type of error, but - get this - on disk utility, while connected, it stays on and doesn't shut off."

Just what error did you get?

Sorry guys can't be a pro at typing I was in a hurry for help but thank you for you're replys and all these parts got to work I don't see why not my guess is that the MacBook unibody is late 2010 and early 2011 logic board only thing that changes is the way of the battery was connected now it was working how i said installed my new hard drive into another MacBook Pro and it worked I installed yosmite and did the partition all that and then put it my MacBook that I'm building and I saw that it was working just that it kept turning off so my mistake was that I didn't try every command key and went straight to verbose mode and safety mode and it would do the same thing and I put fsck and I think that's what corrupted the hard drive I'm sure but as far as saying my project didn't work I can't say because i was able to put my password and enter the apps but didn't give me enough time to check about my Mac and shut off and I haven't gotten able to te another battery which I recently bought gotta wait for it to get here and the error I got lllaass is saying " this copy of Yosemite cannot be verified it may have been corrupted or tampered during downloading

When you type in a solid block like that with no punctuation it's almost impossible to read. You really need to break it into sentences and paragraphs as I did when sub-editing your original post above.

I'm afraid not, and to be brutally honest I haven't even tried to read your post of an hour ago.

It could be a bad logic board.  Could be overheating. I have a thinkpad t20 700.  Until tuesday,  it was difficult to boot. Had to be left off several Days between boots.  So, I left it on.  Ran three months this way.  On Tuesday, it shut off and will not boot. Figured it was a bad solder joint. So, hardware problems may only show up in certain situations.

Rccharles at first i thought it would be overheating or bad logic board but I put my Macbook to erase harddrive and it was there for 2 days without turning off until I took it off the charger then it shut off so that's why I'm just so lost and having hard time figuring it out and I would easily take it to an apple store but their 4 hours away

I really don't see Apple taking any interest in this, so I shouldn't consider spending the 8 hours going there and back.
