Q: Factory Reset Macbook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011) that is currently running OS X El Capitan (10.11.5). I have been having problems with the speed of my computer (basically freezes every time I even try to do a simple command or open any app) and someone on another forum had said the RAM is basically out of space. Instead of buying RAM upgrade and doing all of that work myself since I do not live anywhere close to an Apple store, I was curious if a factory reset of my computer would help this problem if I cleared everything off of it, did the erase disk utility and then reinstalled the OS X. Opinions?

Reinstall OSX will likely help. However,

Run this and post the results here so we know more about your configuration.

    - More memory will help since 4 GB of memory is marginal.

    - Your startup disk is getting full:

    Macintosh HD (disk1) / : 498.88 GB (49.76 GB free)

    - You have one "cleaning" program installed and running,

    loaded]    com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.helperTool.plist (2009-12-15) [Support]

        [loaded]    com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.trashSizeWatcher.plist (2011-10-06) [Support]

        [loaded]    com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.volumeWatcher.plist (2011-10-06) [Support]

and other that is not running

        [failed]    com.mackeeper.MacKeeper.Helper.plist (2016-01-22) [Support]

    - You have one adware app running

    Adware:

        ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.onlineapplicationrequest.AppRequest.plist

        One adware file found. [Remove]

    - To uninstall MacKeeper:

    Do not install MacKeeper

    - To remove CleanMyMac see the manual instructions of:

    http://uninstallmacapplications.blogspot.com/2015/09/uninstall-cleanmymac-3-comp letely-n.html

    - To remove the adware click on the Remove link in your output of EtreCheck

Yes, I appreciate it, but I already know this. I wanted to know specifically if I reset everything and did the disk utility on the reset if it would be like "new"
