Q: iPad Pro PPT mirroring glitch?

iPad Pro connected to projector (lightning-to-vga) will mirror PPT presentation. If you click a URL and show a YouTube video then return to the presentation the connected display will stay frozen on the video. Going to home screen and back to presentation will leave the home screen frozen on the projector. Double clicking "home" to open previously used apps and then choosing the presentation will leave the previously used apps screen frozen on the projector.

Force closing the app and reloading does not fix the problem. Reseating the adapter will cause the current slide to appear on the projector but when advancing to the next slide the previous one stays frozen on the projector. The only thing I have found that allows the presentation to mirror properly after showing a video is power cycling the iPad.

I unfortunately will not have access to the device or one like it again before next week. Any ideas are welcome and appreciated.

This doesn't help, but I think when you play a video, only the video content is sent to the projector, rather than the entire iPad screen. It sounds like there's no graceful way to return to the normal full screen mode.

We tried other iOS devices and could not recreate the issue. When working with the original device we found it did not have the YouTube app installed. Once installed the direct links would open in the app and even videos embedded on a webpage would play without causing problems once returning to the PowerPoint presentation. Problem solved.
