Q: The backup disk is not in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format, which is required.

I have seen remedies to the above.

However, my situation is I have a Seagate Backup Plus Drive (external) which has been used previously to backup to.  Is this Journaled format going to wipe out everything off my Seagate Backup when it formats it?

I was hoping to back up to BOTH Time Machine (which I can't access) and the Seagate.

Help!
