Q: How can I stop my iPad keyboard from selecting and deleting text when I am typing fast?
In Messages and my Gmail app, when I am typing fast on the ipad keyboard, chunks of text from the message automatically highlights and deletes. I don't know if this is an automatic keyboard gesture I can turn off, or if my only option is to always type painfully slowly. Has anyone else experienced this or know how to fix it?

Try disabling shortcuts from Settings > General > Keyboard > Shortcuts. You may be hitting them by accident.
