Q: Guest user shows with latest security update

I cannot hide guest user since the latest security update 10.11.6. Instead of just typing my password I now have to select a user. I talked to Apple support who couldn't tell me why except maybe it has to do with file vault. It does not make sense that a security measure would allow someone to get into my macbook and use it to access the Internet.

Anyone find a way to get Guest user turned off?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Do you have Find My Mac enabled? It requires a guest user account to help locate your machine.

    Hello !

To hide guest user account from login window , please open system preferences users and groups if you are an administrator please open the lock by entering user name and password .

Click on login option and do the settings as in screen shot :

Thanks ! also guest user do not need password to login in , they can only browse , also cannot change any settings / alter files .

Regarding file vault it is the best option to secure your entire data .

Turning off Find My Mac didn't do it either. I hate it when they make these changes where you spend hours trying to fix it and they don't tell support how to either.

Does everyone now have the Guest login show up at startup since the latest update?
