Q: Debit / credit card validation process including deducting £1.00 from your bank account.
Why does Apple never state that they will deduct £1.00 from a bank account when validating a debit or credit card.
I just signed up for a free 3 month Apple Music service, well it is not entirely free.

Because they don’t. That’s an authorization hold, not a charge; it’ll normally disappear within a few days.
