Q: Answering call with earpods

When answering a call with the remote on the earpods the screen remains unlocked while on the call... is there a way so that the screen remains locked after answering? Sometimes I answer a call with the phone in my pocket and I forget that the screen remains unlocked and I've hung up several calls by mistake when taking it out of my pocket. Very frustrating. Not to mention that the open screen also drains the battery faster... Looked through my settings and couldn't find anything. I have an iPhone 6s with the latest iOS.

if the iPhone was locked when you answered you can simply just push the home button

if it wasn't you can go to the home screen and then lock your phone

Thanks Omar.  That I knew.  I was looking for a way for the screen to remain locked after answering the phone with the remote.  It seems to me that having to interact with the phone to lock it kind of defeats the purpose of being able to answer it while leaving it in your pocket.  I don't recall it being always like that on previous iPhone and iOS versions... I'd prefer for it to remain locked if it was already locked before answering; it'd be nice if this was a customizable setting.
