hi l have just ordered the iPhone 7 my question is when l am making a video will l still be able to connect my rode micro mic to the iPhone

Not anything I have personal experience with, but if it works with current iPhones then I'm sure the answer is yes.

It appears that it has a 3.5 mm plug. If it worked with older iPhones then it will work with the iPhone 7 if you use the headphone adapter provided with the phone.
