Q: Is it safe to delete an account that is connected to your phone #?

I don't know where else to post this so I figured it could work here.

 

I want to delete my Yahoo account but first I wanted to remove my phone number from the account. The only problem is apparently you have to have at least 1 phone # connected to your account at all times. Would it be safe for me to delete the account with the phone number still connected or is that bad?

Ben,

 

If you delete a Yahoo account that is connected with your phone number, it will not affect your phone service. 

 

It will however, affect your ability to use the Yahoo services associated with that account, such as group memberships.

    That rule applies to Yahoo, not to iTunes.  You may want to try it on the Yahoo forum.
