Q: MacBook Pro takes a long time to power on

I'm having a issue with my 2015 MacBook Pro.  When the laptop is powered off and I press the power button, it takes about 2-3 minutes before I hear the chime and the screen comes on.  Also, when the laptop is asleep, I have to completely power it off and back on in order for me to use the laptop.  I can restart the laptop and it comes back on just fine.  When the laptop is on, everything runs fine.  It's only when the laptop is put to sleep or powered off.  I've tried the following to troubleshoot this issue:

-Reset the SMC

-Reset the NVRAM

-Reinstalled the OS (Running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6)

-Ran the Disk Utility and it stated the SSD is fine.

Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this issue?  I've read that replacing the SSD could fix the problem but wanted to check here before I decide to order the part.

Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

This may sound like an odd response but are you able to check your 'about this mac' to verify the RAM is showing the correct information of what is installed.

Possibly the RAM has been jolted during transport and one of the sticks is not seated all the way.

I have not experienced this myself on a mac but i have seen similar issues on a Windows desktop and reseating the Ram seemed to correct the issue.

    Let me know,

Since the RAM is soldered to the logic board, it cannot be reseated.

I suggest that you run Apple Diagnostics and see if that will provide a clue:

Also download and post an Etrecheck report:

Thanks OGELTHORPE, I ran both the Apple Diagnostics and the Etrecheck report with no luck.  Both came back normal.  Still having the issue.

Clearly the MBP is not operating as it should.  Perhaps that best option at this point is an appointment at an Apple store genius bar and have the experts examine it.  The evaluation will be done for FREE.

    Ciao.
