Which iPad do you have?  If you have any of these:

    • iPad Air 2
    • iPad mini 2
    • iPad mini 3
    • iPad mini 4
    • iPad Air
    • iPad Air 2
    • 12.9-inch iPad Pro
    • 9.7-inch iPad Pro

They have Nighshift built in. Settings>Display

No third party app would have the access necessary to change the display across all other apps.

Thank you for replying Meg. I have an iPad model #: MC979LL/A and see nothing in my display menu about nightshift. I suppose the only way to get an app for this particular model would be to jailbreak it, which I have no intention of doing.

I'll just avoid using it late at night...problem solved!

Another option would be to buy a pair of bluelight-filtering glasses and wear those the last hour or so before you go to bed. The nice thing about them is that they filter all of the many other sources of blue light that you are being exposed to in your home in the evening.
