Q: Terminal keeps opening randomly

So every once in a while.. (like two days) I would wake up my iMac and notice that my terminal is open. Now i rarely if ever open it.. So its not like I opened it and didn't close it. I haven't use it months.. Nothing unusual shows up in it. It would be like you just opened it on your own.. I am wondering if anyone else has this issue and any idea what's it related to?

I understand from your post that when you wake your iMac periodically Terminal will be open. I know how important it is for your iMac to wake the way you would like it to. I recommend checking your login items to see if there is anything that could be causing Terminal to open. This article has the steps to both add and remove login items:

I have this issue as well. I think it started a week ago after I updated EuControl for my project studio. I'm not sure if it's related but I'm on the hunt to find out why.

Found the culprit to be AvidApplicationManager. After quitting the app the terminal stopped launching.
