Sep 11, 2016 11:36 AM in response to RKDUBBSby Carolyn Samit,★HelpfulRedirects can be caused by adware or malware.
You can use the Malwarebytes free utility to remove it.
Then click Download.
It's free and only takes a minute or two.
When you're done, with Safari open go to the Safari menu bar and click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab then click: Remove All Website Data. Then go back to the menu bar, click History > Clear History. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
