Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!
If I understand correctly, you are unable to play videos from Facebook on your iPhone. I enjoy a lot of those videos myself and will be happy to offer a couple suggestions to get this working again for you.
The first thing we want to do is to make sure you have a current backup of everything on your iPhone. Nothing I am going to suggest should cause any data loss, but it is always a good idea to have a backup. If you follow this link, you will find instructions on how to do a backup:
How to backup your devices using iCloud or iTunes
Once you have the iPhone backed up, follow the steps here to close the App:Force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Restart the app, and see if videos are playing correctly.
If videos are still not playing the next step is to restart the iPhone:
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Test again after the restart and see if the videos will play.
Make sure that the latest iOS and Facebook apps are installed:
- Make sure that you're using latest version of iOS.
- Open the App Store and tap Updates.
- If updates are available, tap Update All.
- If asked, enter your Apple ID password.
You might need a Wi-Fi connection to update some apps.
If the videos are still not playing as expected, then delete and reinstall the Facebook app.
Delete and reinstall the app
- Tap and hold the app until it jiggles.
- Tap the
on the app.

- Press the Home button.
- Go to the App Store and download the app again.
- Wait for the app to download, then open it from the Home screen.

If an app you installed unexpectedly quits, stops responding, or won’t open
Have a great day!
