Q: 2015 Retina Macbook Screen Flicker

My new Retina Macbook screen flickers intermittently throughout the day. I haven't be able to peg it to any specific software or use situation and resetting the PRAM doesn't seem to help.

 

Anyone else experience this? If it's just a new product firmware problem, I'll just wait, but if it's possible it's hardware, I'd obviously like to get it addressed.

    Hello everyone!

     

    Did anyone eventually got rid of this issue?

     

    I have a 2015 15" MacBook Pro, and the flickering really bothers me. My Apple warranty expires in December and I am concerned if this flickering may be a sign of a flawed motherboard, that is very expensive to replace without warranty.

    Hey, i had a 2015 MBP and took it to the apple store and they replaced the screen (which didn't fix it) and then also the logic board which fixed it. Came to £916, i was 70 days outside the apple warranty however was still in the 2 year consumer law warranty so they fixed it for free. So if i were you i'd get it to apple before the warranty runs out!

    I used to have this issue on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro 15" but macOS Sierra (10.12) seems to fix it. Finally!
