Q: iTunes cloud icon remains after SD movie downloads

I've noticed that for my recent movie purchases, on the iTunes Store, Purchased screen, that the cloud icon with the arrow pointing down is still showing on my movies even after I have downloaded it.  It only shows on the SD movies ("Download HD When Available" is unchecked). I've verified that the SD file downloaded and is usable on my SD devices. For the same movies, on the My Movies screen, it does not show the cloud icon.  The status of the HD downloads are correct.  It's only with the SD downloads that the status is incorrect on the iTunes Store screen.

Not that it's really a problem as everything else is working fine, it just seems out of whack to me.  That's my OCD showing.  Any ideas what's going on there and how to make the download status display correctly on the iTunes Store Purchase screen?  Downloading the file again does not fix the problem.

Try relocating a digital booklet from the place where iTunes "thinks" it belongs and you'll see the same thing, even though you still have it registered and available in the library. One option is to hide content that gives you unwanted download links: Hide and unhide iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store purchases - Apple Support.

One option is to hide content that gives you unwanted download links (from your purchase history)

I cannot replicate quite what you describe as I see the purchase price in the main part of the store for recent movies that I've purchased, but I deleted one, then downloaded the SD version, and the movie still showed in my list of available past purchases even after closing and reopening iTunes. Hiding the purchase leaves it in my library, but cleans up the list of "Not in My Library" items so that it no longer shows. Hopefully that would work for you. My guess is that unless you have the HD version (or maybe the best version you've bought) referenced in the library, iTunes thinks you might still want to download it. The mechanism that matches up what is in the library clearly isn't perfect, which is what I was trying to illustrate with my other example of the same.
