Q: iTunes not able to delete any music.

On my regular iTunes playlist I have only 3 songs.

When synchronizing my iPhone 5s into my iTunes, it gives me an array of "hidden" songs that I do not have currently on my iPhone. It tells me I have my old playlist of music when I can't add music or even delete music into my iphone.

The new interface for the iTunes is horrible imo, I can't even click my own device i have only an array of options compared to previous iTunes updates.

How can I delete this unhidden music from my phone and add new content? everytime I sync my phone in I don't have any option to do anything.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.1

The following steps should help with erratic syncing behaviour, including the dreaded dotted circle. They assume that all of the content you want on the device is in your library ready for restoring. If it isn't see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything out of the camera roll if you haven't already.

    1. Backup device.
    2. Restore as a new device.
    3. Restore the backup you made earlier.

Use an encrypted backup if you want to preserve passwords, wi-fi settings, web history and health data where appropriate.
