Q: Google maps app won't update
Google maps icon stuck in "waiting" like it has not finished updating. I can neither launch nor delete the app. Neither turning off the iPhone (5s) nor a hard reset fixes the issue. pressing the "open" button from the App Store does not work either.

You can try to sign out of the App Store and then sign back in (with a forced restart in between). Also make sure your billing info is up to date (even though it may be a free app):
