Uninstall Avira > https://www.avira.com/en/support-for-home-knowledgebase-detail/kbid/1242
Then see if apps open spontaneously.
Third party anti virus software is unnecessary on a Mac and can cause more harm than good.

ApplicationsHi,
If you only closed windows, but not actually Quit, and then Shut Down the Mac then the Apps will re-open on Start up.
In System Preferences > Users and Groups > your account and the Login Item button.
This may also have apps set to start at Computer Start Up.
